A TRIBUTE to the life and legacy of Charan Gill, co-founder of the Progressive Intercultural Community Services Society and recipient of such awards as The Order of British Columbia. He served on the 411 Senior Centre Society Board of Directors for three years during which he helped the Center add senior housing to our new building (under construction).

Marion Pollack, Board Chair will facilitate the speakers paying homage to Mr. Gill, including The Hon. Raj Chauhan, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, BC. who co-founded the British Columbia Organization to Fight Racism with him; and Sarwan Boal who assisted him in founding PICSS, organizing Canadian Farmworkers and improving their working conditions.

You will learn about the ardent activism Charan sustained to achieve a better understanding of the Indo-Canadian community, fight racism and unequal work conditions and wages for Canadian agricultural workers.
